A 25% booking deposit is payable within seven days of the provisional booking being taken.   The booking is taken on a provisional basis until the deposit has been paid in full and funds cleared through the banking system (where appropriate). The booking then becomes confirmed. Until the booking is confirmed, it can be cancelled at any time without prior notice by either party. 

The property owner requires any balance owed by the guest to be due no later than 60 days before the check-in date. 

Bookings made less than 60 days before the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking. 

Cancellation of the booking by the holidaymaker should be made in writing and emailed to: info@balquidderholidaycottage.com – your booking is not cancelled until you have received acknowledgement and confirmation of the cancellation. 

Full refund up to 7 days before the start of your holiday.

For the avoidance of doubt – cancellations made less than 7 days before the check-in date will not be refunded unless you are unable to reach the property due to a national or local Government mandate e.g., Government/local restrictions prevent you from travel. 
We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance to cover all other eventualities. 
We will endeavour to re-let the property and refund the holidaymaker if successful. 
If the property is re-let at a lower amount, the holidaymaker will be refunded the balance with the difference retained to make up the shortfall.
